If you are experiencing chronic pain, anxiety, migraines/headaches, fertility issues, lack of self-confidence or have a fear that is holding back from enjoying your life, then Patti Hemmings Health and Well Being Harrogate can help you.
I treat and support people of all ages and backgrounds for many different issues. I am passionate about helping others improve their lives, become happier and more confident.
I have been working as an anxiety and stress therapist for the last nineteen years before setting up as an anxiety and stress therapist in Harrogate. I see every day individuals who are amazing people but are struggling with this condition.
I work with individuals to help them resolve their stress and anxiety by offering a variety of therapies. I will talk to you about how your stress or anxiety is affecting you and how I can help.
Back pain can affect anyone at any age and most people will suffer from it at some point in their lives. It is the UK’s leading cause of disability and one of the main reasons for work-related sickness absence. Research has shown that acupuncture is significantly better than no treatment and at least as good as (if not better than) standard medical care for back pain. It appears to be particularly useful as an adjunct to conventional care, for patients with more severe symptoms and for those wishing to avoid analgesic drugs. It can help back pain in pregnancy and work-related back pain, with fewer work-days lost.
As a experienced therapist I work with couples, women and men every day that are struggling to conceive a baby. In addition, I also see women that are finding it difficult to maintain a healthy full term pregnancy.
The overwhelming anguish and sense of loss experienced by women struggling with infertility issues is an unwelcome motivator to explore treatments options that will increase their chances of conceiving a healthy baby. From fertility drugs, IVF, donor eggs and embryos to acupuncture and other natural remedies.
Hypnotherapy is the therapeutic use of hypnosis to help you find meaningful alternatives to your present way of thinking, feeling or behaving, enabling you to change your negative beliefs or behaviour about yourself and lead a more confident and happier life.
Patti, having initially embarked on training to be a Physiotherapist, realised she had a great passion to help people improve their health and well-being.
I am a caring, enthusiastic therapist & teacher and have been in full time practised since 1999. I offer a confidential and supportive service to every individual regardless of background or age.
My goal is to offer a bespoke service that is tailored and based on your needs, taking into account your specific preferences, by using the most appropriate and effective treatment for you.
I have been very fortunate to have gained invaluable experience (working with a wide age range of people from 4 year olds to those their nineties) in private practice, in community health projects, teaching Pilates to women in a open prison, in specialised nursing homes and in the business world offering support to individual employees. As a therapist I see every day, individuals who are stressed and are struggling to create a balance in their lives, free from pressures and worries. By taking time out to relax or address a long-standing health problem, choosing from Acupuncture, Aromatherapy massage, Hypnotherapy, Life Coaching, Reflexology or attend a Yoga class to help restore your energy and calm the mind.
I have extensive experience of treating individuals with long-standing health problems such as sleep issues, anxiety, stress, low mood, menopausal symptoms, headaches, digestive & bowel problems, fertility or IVF support and pain management.
I have worked in both television and radio in connection with my therapy and teaching work.
As a professional well-being therapist and teacher, I regularly attend conferences and seminars to keep up to date with medical research and as a means of extending my skills and knowledge.
Patti Hemmings Health and Wellbeing Therapist Harrogate
Having been a working mother myself of 2 daughters, I am fully aware of the many demands that life can make on us. I first became aware of Acupuncture when I was experiencing monthly stress-related headaches, (I was working as a Director of a charity at the time). After a few treatments, my headaches cleared and I was so impressed that I took my then 9 years old daughter for Acupuncture to help with her Asthma. Natasha went for 4 treatments (one a week) and has never experienced Asthma symptoms since (she is now 26).
